Hon. Samuel Adongo, born on 9th December, 1984, is a distinguished Ghanaian administrator, civil servant, and political leader who currently serves as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly. A dedicated member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Adongo has established himself as a visionary leader with a deep commitment to public service, grassroots development, and the promotion of social justice.
Early Life and Education
Hon. Adongo began his early education at Ridge Experimental School, where he demonstrated discipline, academic excellence, and a keen interest in leadership. He later proceeded to Suhum Secondary Technical School, where he built a strong foundation in knowledge, teamwork, and service — values that would guide him throughout his personal and professional life.
Driven by an ambition to contribute meaningfully to society, he pursued higher education at the University of Ghana, Legon, where he earned a Diploma in Public Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, and a Master of Arts in Organisational Leadership and Governance. These academic achievements equipped him with strong managerial and leadership skills that continue to shape his career.
Professional and Political Career
Hon. Samuel Adongo has excelled in both the private and public sectors. He served as the Chief Administrator at Joy Industries Ltd, one of Ghana’s most prominent companies, where his administrative expertise and strategic leadership contributed significantly to the company’s growth and success.
In recognition of his capabilities, Hon. Adongo was appointed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly. In this role, he provides visionary leadership for the day-to-day management of the municipality, coordinates government policies, supervises local governance structures, and drives developmental initiatives. His leadership has been marked by a focus on infrastructure development, community engagement, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.
As a committed member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Adongo has also been instrumental in strengthening party structures within the constituency. THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY
- The Municipality was founded in 2017, it was carved out of the then New Juaben Municipality. The city has a settlement population of 62,171 people in 2018. The Municipality has a total surface area of 106 square kilometers.
